Imagination

Lyrics

When I gaze up, up at the twinkling stars
I think I’m an astronaut
I’ll fly my space ship high,
as high as it will go

The stars rush by, in bluish-whitish blurs,
I think of things unheard,
and my imagination, imagination, imagination soars

The world is gray, gray and bare
with nothing thrilling, thrilling there
But with my imagination,
I see things of my own creation
I can use, use my mind
Creatin’ something one of a kind
I can soar and do things I've never done before

The mirror reflects my face as I sing alone,
with a brush for a microphone
Grab a broom against the door,
Imagine, I'm feet above the floor
the crowd stares up, I sing my part,

I sing it from the heart,
I'm swallowed by their cheers
and my imagination, imagination soars

The world is gray, gray and bare
with nothing thrilling, thrilling there
But with my imagination,
I see things of my own creation
I can use, use my mind
creatin’ something one of a kind
I can soar and do things I've never done before

it's died, it's dead, I'll go Into my head
I’m just so bored, The thrill is gone
I want to fly through the sky and over the moon
If cow’s can do it, then why can’t I too
I’m wanting more, I crave the thrill, I dream, I hope, that I can too
If we want to make our dreams come true
It all begins with me and you

The world is gray, gray and bare
with nothing thrilling, thrilling there
But with my imagination,
I see things of my own creation
I can use, use my mind
creatin’ something one of a kind
I can soar and do things I've never done before

Behind The Music

"We came up with a line where the cow was jumping over the moon, and we wanted to add that into the song...so we incorporated a song around it."

"I think they [dreams] can take you to different places and make you feel better about yourself and [have] more courage to do stuff. If you don’t really dream then you’re sort of like a boring person because you don’t really have any creativity, basically."

"I think that dreams are important because they can give you courage and they can give you ideas, but what’s even more important than dreaming, I think, is making sure that you actually put them into action...because you could spend your whole life dreaming about what you’re going to do and how great you’re going to be, but if you never actually do it they’re just dreams.
